CONTRAINDICATIONS
Before starting a Kambo journey, it's important to understand that certain health conditions may make the treatment unsafe for some individuals. These considerations are crucial for ensuring the safety and well-being of participants. Certain medical conditions, such as aneurysms, active ulcers, alcohol dependency, Addison’s disease, and brain-related issues, are considered high risk when combined with Kambo. If someone has recently undergone chemotherapy, has blood clots, or struggles with drug dependencies like opioids or benzodiazepines, extra caution is needed, as complications may arise.
For those with a history of psychiatric conditions or low blood pressure, it’s essential to inform the Kambo practitioner beforehand. Pregnant or breastfeeding women (with babies under 6 months), individuals recovering from recent surgery or strokes, and those under 18 should avoid Kambo treatment altogether due to potential risks.
PLEASE NOTE:
Certain medications, like antidepressants, may interact with Kambo, so informing the practitioner is key. Antibiotics should also be taken separately to avoid conflicts with the treatment.
Individuals with gastric issues, heart conditions, or a history of psychiatric disorders such as PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or personality disorders should only proceed with Kambo under the supervision of experienced practitioners to ensure their safety.
If you have asthma, diabetes, or pancreatic issues, special care is necessary to ensure a safe Kambo experience. Additionally, anyone who has taken Bufo in the past 8 weeks or received a COVID-19 vaccination in the last 6 weeks should postpone their Kambo session.
